MBMA, through the development of bioengineering, psychic research and LSD, created a substance that can give abilities through deep psychic alteration. They managed to create the first test subject, whom they named Host 1.  After creating Host 2 and seeing him dismember a criminal with steel strings in front of Host 1, the first escapes.
